Health Insurance Costs are Up for 2011. What else? Seems the only thing that goes down is the stock market. Health Insurance is one Insurance you need. Car Insurance is required – that is if you have a car. Health Insurance covers basically the only thing you own ~ your body. Ever have an experience where you are transported to the Hospital and they find out you do not have Health Insurance? I have been an Insurance Broker since 1994 – seen alot of different cases.
One Saturday I received 3 calls – 1 from a Hospital, One from an Insurance Company, and the third from a Doctor in the Emergency room – all wondering if a certain person had Insurance coverage. I just signed that person up about 2 weeks ago. He was mountain bike riding, crashed and was air lifted to the Hospital. The Hospital could not find an Insurance Card on the body so —- they transported him to County Hospital.
If you want Health Insurance and do not have HI coverage right now – pls contact me RoseInsurance@hotmail.com I am an Independent Broker and will give you a variety of prices from every Company – not just one price or one company.
The article in September 28, 2011 LA Times states that this family pays $2500 a month for Health Insurance. People are refinancing their homes – why not re-quote your Insurance? Every year you should re-quote your Health Insurance.
3 Tips to Save at Least $100 per Month on Health Insurance
1. Life Changes – Your life is always changing. The only thing constant is change!
Get a new quote every year on your Health Insurance. If you have to call an agent – go
for it. Calling a Health Insurance Company direct will be long holds and the same rates
the agent would get for you.
2. Change your Deductible. How many times have I heard people have coverage for Maternity
and they do not even have their periods anymore.
3. If you have a significant other and they are younger – make them the primary.
You must follow these steps – the prediction for 2012 is that rates will go up over 5% for Health Insurance. What are you going to do? Letting your Health Insurance stay the same is not an option – because in the long run you will not want to pay it and then where will you be?
By the way – the guy got his leg fixed in County and now walks with a limp.
